I’d say he’s more than adequate in the air, even for his size. More than half of his goals have come from his head, including both against one of the top defenses in Europe (Rangers) this weekend. He’s got a very good sense of positioning, and if you have someone to feed him good high balls, he’ll put them where they’re needed.

PS – Despite still thinking the name of the club is ridiculous, with this one move, I’m back to watching and supporting RSL. Hopefully your club can continue their Scottish link far into the future, and maybe even form an unofficial partnership with an SPL club someday.

I posted a blog about Kenny Deuchar to RSL before I noticed it on yours … I think you’ll like him. He’s been the entire Gretna offense this season, and aside from scoring goals, he’s always been a troublesome mark for defenders. The Good Doctor worked his way up through the lower divisions with Gretna before they were promoted to the SPL, and when he’s faced with a poor defense, he exploits it well. With anything like a decent midfield (something he does not have at Gretna), he could be quite a bit better.
