Someone Hire A GM, Please!
By: Wiz | September 7th, 2007Ok, so we are to expect some blunders from a new coach and coaching staff (I mean brand new! Except for Brian Johnson and maybe Robin Frazer, I don’t think anyone has the USSF or NSCAA coaching licenses expected and required of a professional coach). Usually when an owner hires a new (new to coaching) coach he has made sure that the newbie has a seasoned front office staff…like a GM, to ensure a smooth transition. This transition has been anything but smooth. I believe there have been at least 4 offenses by RSL that resulted in fines or loss of draft picks. The last one wearing your away kit at LA, an away game, seems like another blunder that could have been avoided (LA had informed the teams that they would be wearing their away kits most of the season and would be wearing them at home). I did get a laugh when I read coach Kries’ comments about the Liberian FA being unorganized. I thought to myself that this is the pot calling the kettle black! My question is this: is there anyone who wants the GM job or has the rumor gotten out that RSL and company are too difficult and too disjointed to straighten out? Whoever they hire, if longevity is their goal, they will have to be a diplomat, a thinker, knowlegable of the game, and a tyrant at times. The other question is, can Jason Kreis work with someone who might tell him no? Will he accept guidance?
The match against Houston is HUGE!!! Can we make two wins against one of the leagues best teams? What do you think about the lineup? To be frank, I hope Chris Brown isn’t in the staring 11.

Funny you should mention not wanting to see Chris Brown in the starting 11… What’s with Jason Kreis purposely gimping this team!? Why aren’t we seeing more of Robbie Findley? He’s proven he can score yet we see him on the bench while Eskandarian can’t hit a decent PK. That’s right, Esky sucks, time to face the facts. If only he could red card out more often.
