Now Is The Time To Whack The Wizards!
By: Wiz | August 29th, 2007The Wizards have lost 3 out of the last 4 games and are on a 5 games in two week stretch. Now is the time to just go for all you’ve got against a team we beat in an Open Cup match earlier in the season. KC has also been in a scoring slump which works in our favor…if we can keep up the pressure and keep them away from the net. I think they are beatable and there is no better time to face them than right now. The big question is can RSL put 90 min. of solid soccer together? If RSL gets a lead (which is entirely possible with KC) can they keep attacking or will they do what they usually do and fall back and pack their defensive half for the rest of the game and watch KC take shot after shot on Rimando settling for the draw or worse the loss in the final minutes?
On another note. Have you taken a look at the standings lately? Have you noticed that Chivas USA has 36 pts (4th best in the league)? Toronto FC has 20 pts. Even the pitiful Galaxy have 2 more points than RSL. We came into the league with Chivas and Toronto is in their first year! How bad do things look for RSL? Well, try watching a Galaxy game (if you can stomach it) then think to yourself, “hey, they have more points than we do.” You may never return from that reality check.
