Change of RSL bloggers
By: Ian Rose | June 21st, 2007Well, folks, it’s been fun, but it’s time for me to move on from my position as Real Salt Lake blogger here at The Offside. We’ve had our ups (there was that friendly win) and our downs (every other game, plus being called a fascist after the friendly win), but I think it’s time for someone else to cover America’s most colorfully uniformed MLS team. That person is none other than frequent commenter Wiz, who will be starting this week. I will still be covering Scotland for The Offside, as well as starting a new blog on the UEFA Cup. Being that, deep down, I’m pretty much a Eurosnob, I think that’s best. Wiz has always had outstanding comments and I have no doubt from my correspondences with him that he’ll do a great job. Thanks, everybody - it’s been fun.
PS - I’m not exactly sure how the MLS Predictor League will go from now on … can’t really host it on the Scotland blog … but we’ll figure that out. Thanks to everyone who visited and commented over the past few months.

Sad to see you go (well, go from here) but I gotta say kudos for doing the Predictor League, even though I frickin’ suck at it, and I can’t wait for the UEFA Cup blog (the only thing French clubs are half-decent at, it would seem). Cheers

You suck.
(And by that I mean I’m highly disappointed. Scotland is so far away!!)

Laurie - I do suck. There’s no way around it. Not as much as that offside call tonight at the close of the US-Canada match sucked … ouch. Anyway, if you think I’ll be any less present on the MLS blogs, you are mistaken. I’ll miss reporting on MLS, but I’m really excited on reporting on the UEFA Cup, my favorite tournament in the world. Don’t worry - I’ll still obsess over Google translations and point it out every time you say wang.

Ian, don’t flatter yourself. You were never called a fascist. That said, your statement dismissing supporters’ expression rights inside stadiums speaks for itself.
Best wishes.

It was kind of a joke, FM. I like your blog a lot. Keep it up.
