“Basement Dwellers” Title Up For Grabs Tonight!

By: Wiz | September 19th, 2007

With the possibility of a bunch of “new” soccer fans showing up tonight that might just be alittle jaded due to the Beckham hype machine being shutdown after they paid their increased ticket price, the chance for a flop in front of these newbies and its repercussion have got to be on the minds of the front office and those in the lockeroom. At least one would hope that there has been an increase in intensity and desire to get a win for the home crowd and maybe in the process win over a few more fans. Besides, do we really want to be the owners of the worst record in MLS? Everyone knows how bad LA has been. Who wants to be known as the team that was worse than LA? Let them own all the criticism they should get from their ineptitude and not give them the come back of, “at least we aren’t as bad as Salt Lake.”

I hope we get to see Yura tonight. I hope this trade means Watson and C. Brown and K. Brown will be gone next year.
Can the new GM bring order to the front office? Will we see and end to the fines and losses of draft picks?
