Fitz
1. I left the journalism business in July to begin a writing career in Los Angeles. And then the strike hit. Writing Gods 1, Fitz 0.
2. “Things Can Only Get Better” is an ensemble romantic comedy that placed among the top 10 finalists in the Screen Savvy competition in 2006 (when it was titled something else).
3. I have finished a “Boston Legal” spec in which a Yankees fan sues Red Sox Nation.
4. I write for the No Shame Theater group in Santa Monica. Skits are supposed to last five minutes. They are turned in an hour before the show, then cast, then practiced, then performed. I do not act, although I believe I did a credible job in a non-speaking role as Senator Craig.
5. My bobblehead doll collection includes Hermie the Misfit Dentist.
6. My CD collection includes work by Dexy’s Midnight Runners, Rage Against The Machine and ABBA.
7. I have raised $1,500 for the American Cancer Society in the name of a former soccer teammate, and $630 for shaving my head at a St. Baldricks Foundation fundraiser.
8. I have been out of the United States once — for 10 days in 2006 at the World Cup in Germany.
9. I have made fun of a guy in a wheelchair, although you must ask me about this in order to get the story in the proper context.
10. Family includes mom Pat, late dad Paul, sis Beth, brother David, bro-in-law Shawn and world’s cutest nieces Kate and Sarah. Mom (nurse) and Sis (guidance counselor) live in Keene, N.H., where I attended high school (I can’t really say “where I grew up,” because I haven’t grown up yet).
